HUMAN RESOURCES ADVISOR

Summary

Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the incumbent is responsible for providing human resources management consulting services to the various departments of the company, particularly in the areas of workforce management, recruitment and staffing of positions, occupational health and safety, as well as for the implementation and support of various human resources management programs and policies.

Tasks and responsibilities

Act as a partner in the identification of workforce issues (attraction, skills development, retention and mobilization), the development and implementation of actions required to address operational challenges;
Responsible for the complete staffing cycle and advising managers in their decision making;
Act as a resource person for managers to ensure healthy working relationships and work closely with the HR Director in disciplinary and legal matters;
Respond to employees’ requests and questions;
Ensure the administrative aspect related to human resources management;
Ensure all communications related to human resources;
Follow up on absenteeism, disability, parental, maternity and paternity leave files;
Participate in the health and safety prevention component (participation in the health and safety committee and the evacuation committee, make recommendations) and manage work accident files;
Participate in problem solving, attend meetings and draft disciplinary measures;
Participate in the development and updating of the organization’s internal policies, processes and programs;
Follow-up with managers and employees on the various processes (end of probation evaluations, performance evaluations, vacations, etc.);
Update job descriptions in collaboration with managers when required;

Requirements of the position

Possess an administrative technique (DEC), a certificate in human resources management/industrial relations or any other relevant training;
One (1) year of experience in a similar position;
Bilingualism (French and English spoken/written);
Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
